AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, July 27, 2014 / DogLegMedia / — Ladies European Tour professional golfer Becky Brewerton has launched a fundraiser to support the Williams Syndrome Foundation. Like many charitable fundraising efforts by leading celebrities and athletes, the initiative was spurred by personal experience. In this case, the 2nd child of friend and ex-professional golfer Danielle Masters was born with the condition.
Williams Syndrome is a rare disorder. Like Down’s Syndrome it is caused by an abnormality in chromosomes, and shows a wide variation in ability from person to person. According to the Foundation, Williams Syndrome is not hereditary and the incidence rate is approximately 1 in 25,000.
We love these kinds of initiatives and encourage everyone (not just celebs and athletes) to support Becky, Dani & Stanley by contributing to this initiative.Button Name
